M Karunanidhi

Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is passed away on 7th  august 2018.
M Karunanidhi ,M stands for Muthuvel was  leader of Dravidian Self Respect  Moment.
Karunanidhi was ten times president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam |(DMK) political party.
At very young he worked in Tamil film industry as as a screenwriter.

M Karunanidhi was five times Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and 13 times elected as MLA in  Tamil Nadu

Literature 

M karunanidhi wrote poems, letters, screenplays,   novel, biographies,  historical novels, stage-play, dialogues and moves songs.

He was popularly known as kalaignar(kala nayak)  in Tamil Nadu.

During period of  his Chief ministership of Tamil Nadu he initiated the construction of Valluvar Kottam in  Chennai  and the 133-foot high statue of Thiruvalluvar( celebrated Tamil poet) at Kanyakumari in honor of scholar.

M. Karunanidhi was awarded  with with honor of Doctorate by varies universities. 

1) Annamalai University in 1971.

2). "Raja Rajam Award" by Tamil University.

3) Madurai Kamaraj University  in 15 dec.2006.

4) "Friend of muslim Communities" by Tamil Nadu Muslim Mkkalkatchi in june 2007.
