The master of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar,Dronacharya award winner, Indian Cricket Guru Padma Shri Ramakant Achrekar passed away on 2nd January 2019 at his resident in Shivaji Park,Dadar in Mumbai at the age of 86. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE
Ramakant Achrekar is the man behind Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar founded Kamath Memorial Cricket Club at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.He had given coaching to numerous international players of Indian Cricket Team including bSachin tendulkar,Ajit Agarkar, Chandrakant Pandit,Vinod Kambli and Pravin Amre.

1. Dronacharya Award in 1990.
2. He was awarded with Pabma Shri one of the country's highest civilian award in sport in 7th april 2010,by the Indian President Pratibha Patil.
3.In 12th Feb. 2010 he was awarded the "Life Time Achievement" awarded by Gary Kirsten (The South African Cricketer) the coach of Indian Cricket Team
